Board of Directors
The Board of Directors, which is made up of four representatives from the college and six alumni from the Saint Michael’s Fire and Rescue program, meets three times throughout the year to discuss the current state and the future of the department.
Saint Michael's Fire and Rescue is a student-run organization overseen by chief officers, who are typically alumni themselves. Elected members hold office for one year with voting occurring in the spring of each year. Students have the chance to serve as Captain, First and Second Lieutenant, or Clerk during their time at Saint Michael's College. All other positions are held by alumni of both the college and the department. The membership meets monthly to discuss the status of the organization and to vote on major changes to policies and procedures. Below is a picture that illustrates the structure of the organization.
