Members
A Probationary member is any person who has applied and been accepted for membership but has not met the requirements for becoming a Senior member. The Probationary member may not hold a line office position but may serve on committees, and/or as clerk.
A senior member is any member who has fulfilled the requirements for senior membership and has served a minimum of four months as a probationary member and has received the confirmation of the voting membership of the respective unit. A senior member may hold an office.
Charter members, are the original members of Saint Michael's Fire and Rescue. They are alumni members who founded the department in its earliest years.
An honorary member is an individual who in the past has shown great concern for the department and in recognition of his/her contribution is awarded honorary membership.
An alumni member is an individual who has graduated or left Saint Michael’s College in good standing and continues to run duty with their respective unit, maintaining an active status.
Associate members most often wish to be a part of the department but do not actively participate in firefighting or patient care. These members are instrumental in providing administrative and/or technical support.
