The Fire and Rescue Experience
Students at Saint Michael’s College have many opportunities to face "real-world" problems and challenges. The firefighters and rescuers of Fire and Rescue regularly face difficult situations as they arrive first to incidents involving injury, destruction and even death.
Saint Michael’s College Fire and Rescue is an independent volunteer student run organization. In addition to our student's day to day academic and extracurricular responsibilities, they have the responsibility of serving the community through fire protection and emergency medical treatment. Our crews respond to calls on campus, as well as through the broad area of Vermont’s most populated Chittenden County. With the dedication and support of Saint Michael’s students, alumni, and staff volunteers, we continue to serve 24 hours a day, year round, since 1969.
Saint Michael's Fire and Rescue is dedicated to providing the highest quality professional fire and emergency medical services and education for the campus and communities in which we serve. Through active promotion of volunteerism and experiential learning, Saint Michael's Fire and Rescue encourages positive personal and professional growth to all members while meeting essential community needs.
Saint Michael's Fire and Rescue is proudly staffed and managed by members of the Saint Michael's College community.
