Organizational Structure

Saint Michael's Fire and Rescue is a student-run organization overseen by alumni chief officers. Elected members hold office for one year with voting occurring in the spring of each year. Students have the chance to serve as Captain, First and Second Lieutenant, or Clerk during their time at Saint Michael's College. All other positions are held by alumni of both the college and the department. The membership meets monthly to discuss the status of the organization and to vote on major changes to policies and procedures. Below is a picture that illustrates the structure of the organization.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors, which is made up of four representatives from the college and six alumni from the Saint Michael’s Fire and Rescue program, meets throughout the year to discuss the current state and the future of the department.

  •  The address of the emergency.
  •  Exactly what happened.
  •  How many people are hurt.

Follow all of the dispatcher's instructions, and do not hang up until you have been told to do so.
